OAKVILLE, Napa County — Napa County’s Board of Supervisors approved a housing management agreement intended to maintain affordable seasonal accommodation for vineyard and other agricultural workers, including a county-owned facility described in county reporting as serving the Oakville area.
In its July 28, 2026 meeting recap, the county reported approval of an approximately $1.2 million agreement with California Human Development Corporation. The contract covers daily operations at three farmworker housing centers: Mondavi, River Ranch and Calistoga.
What does the program provide?
The county says the three centers collectively provide 180 beds, with each offering accommodation for up to 60 workers when operating. Services include meals, property management and maintenance, supporting more than 56,000 available bed-nights annually.
How do workers ask about eligibility?
The Napa County Housing Authority lists the Mondavi Center at 5589 Silverado Trail, Napa, CA 94558, with onsite manager Cristina Cervantes at 707-694-5741. Its Napa mailing address should not be confused with the distinct boundaries of the Oakville census community.
Workers should contact the program about current availability and eligibility rather than assume a county contract guarantees an immediate bed. The housing centers have seasonal operating schedules and may temporarily close for maintenance.
